If tank is big enough I would get both. Wrasses are awesome.

It should be ok given the fact that I've seen people keep multiple wrasses in a 2x2 60 gal cube.

As a stand alone fish I prefer C. rubriventralis, but they can be aggressive toward oter fairy and flasher wrasses, so you may be limited on future purchases if you happen to get bit by the "wrasse bug", which often happens after you get your first wrasse.
In a 50g I would not add a rubriventralis with a flasher, however keeping multiple flasher ad fairy wrasses is possible i that size tank.

I voted the P. mccoskeri for the reasons mentioned; it would not prevent you from adding another down the road 
That and they do look amazing when they flash.

I got bitten..for a few years I was a Leopard and Tamarin addict and still am, but I recently got into Flashers,,they are awesome to watch flash each other and so much easier to accliamte and care for then the Leopards and Tamarins just need a tight netting because they are jumpers...I currently have a yellow fin, a whipfin, a McCoskers, a Carpenters, a Line Spot and a Lubbock's.

I currently have 14 wrasses within my tank. The first one I got were leopards and then the addiction grew.
In my limited experience the more aggressive fairy is a Scott's fairy. But good luck with your decision. I'm sure you won't be disappointed
