Longnose hawkfish in qt and not eating

Hello,

I have a longnose hawkfish in the qt and it wont eat pellets, mysis, or flakes.

Any suggestions?

He was eating at the lfs and is currently in the qt w a docile foxface.

I wouldn't worry too much, mine didn't eat for a few days after introduction but once he got used to his surroundings he ate frozen mysis like a pig. Good luck with it, one of my favorite fish.

They were feeding their fish some sort of mysis w some other liquid concoction. Ill def go ask

Will also try some live brine.

Any other suggestions? Ill try em all

3 days as of last night. He died this morning. Thanks for the input guys. He just didnt want anything i gave him.

Sorry you lost him. Most species of hawkfish are great fish .

I'm sure the not eating didn't kill him, any healthy fish can easily go 3 days without eating. There was something else going on with the fish---smart move, using the QT.
