Longspine Urchin question

I had a Longspine Urchin in my tank and he was knocking all of my rockwork over every night so I put him in my sump
Now he found his way into my Fuge
Question is he going to eat my Macroalgae ?

It will most likely clear any rock work of its algae, including the corallines before it goes after any macro algae, some of which, may not be palatable to the urchin. If the algae is of the calurpa family, it may not touch it.

This is interesting, I wanted to add an urchin to algae control but didn't know they tend to knock the rock work. Do they do that a lot?

now he lives in my sump
