Look-down tank

Ok, I have the cravings for a large tank.
But.... I dont want to go with the regular tank and stand and sump style

I want something original!

So I was thinking that I would buy a normal rubber maid tub and cut it in half- horizontaly.

It would be FOWLR

And I was also think maybe I could cut out a square- 12''x12" in one of ther sides and then put and acrylic sheet on the inside to have a looking hole.

Still a little lost on what lighting to use or what kind of filteration.

I need help please

Thank you!!

The only problem with those rubbermaid totes are that they will bow with a full volume of water, and cutting of the top lip will weaken it even more. You'd need to buy one of the rubbemaids that they use for live stock feeding, or for koi ponds

quit being a hater-you do nothing but cause problems on this forum, and you didn't even help with any of his questions.

the rubbermaid sumps can be found here http://www.tractorsupply.com/detail.asp?pcID=8&paID=1039&sonID=214&page=1&productID=15525 and a pond liner, if you went that route, could be from aquaticeco.com which would cost you a lot of $$$$$$ from them.

if you wanted something unusual as you said, this liner could go inside a barrel. never saw that before. http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/6644

good luck-let us know what you decide.
