Look what I found in my sump!

I normally have to go scuba diving to see these- sea lettuce! Fascinating because I never had them before but clearly he was growing fat on the algae in my sump. Neat little guy. I guess I should put him in my main tank?

Cool! So you didn't buy it? You just found it? Awesome!

I've had them, and they all die in my DT. I suspect the Vortechs. Sump MAY be the best place for the little guy.

Keep him in ur sump if he's fat and happy. And has been for who knows how long. Clearly its working so my opinion would be to keep him there. There might not be enough food in your dt

I totally agree. He loves the junk in the sump and hasn't explored the intakes for the pumps yet!

I've got some coarse filter media (uber porous) that would keep it out of the intakes. I put it over the intake on my HOB polishing filter (on the rare times I use it). Yours for the asking.

Dudemeister - I've seen your tank - def. not enough algae to keep that guy happy! Lucky you for finding such an interesting critter in your sump.
