Does anyone have any idea what the coral ID is?
It looks like a weird combination of acan and something else..., not sure what.

Hard to say with the lack of scale but,
It looks like a lord polyp to me

I'd say its a Scolyimia myself. But I'm just making a semi-educated guess here. LOL.

Nope, not a scolyimia, no way.
It has no skeleton..., it is attached to the rock.

A lot of people have been calling those Bowebanki or Acan Maximas. Either way, that is a very nice deal.

As you can see- responses are ALL over the map. There is no way to give a good ID for a photo of a fully fleshed out single polyp. As it grows out, repost some pics and we might be able to narrow it down a little bit.

Its a nice color- if you like it $25 worth, then it was a good deal.

Well, its not LPS if it doesn't have a skeleton. I assume you mean visible skeleton??
Anyway, go look at the Crazy Scolyimia thread, I saw a few with a similar morphology.
But heck, maybe its a baby Trachyphyllia! LOL.

Last pic is by flashlight at night. Sorry about the quality. BTW, they seem to be going for around US$100 per polyp. I also got a good deal on my animal and it quickly became a favorite. Do you handfeed yours?

My Scolymia looks just like that at night & very early in the morning, but as you said it wasn't.. No ID yet?
