Bryan how are the frags doing?

the frags are doing awesome i love the hammer and frogspawn great colors. my girlfriend loves them as well she keeps saying how great the color is under my lights. the yellow zoas opened the next day, and the mini carpet was full size the next day as well. looks awesome was a great add to my tank thanks. would also like to add you had a beautiful tank one af the best i have seen great job!

I have never seen a 29 RR unless you are talking about buying one someone has had drilled. If you are wanting one with a overflow box you can order one from Glasscages for under $100, or just put your stuff in a rubbermade container while you have your 29 drilled. Usually cost around $20.

HTH

my advice would be to have it drilled, then buildyour own over flow it.s fairly easy. and BK would probably help you drill it if you offer him a frag of something ;)

i am looking for one that is drilled already, that i can just swap all of my stuff over to and then sell the not drilled one. the reason i want to do it this way is cause i dont want to mess with drilling it and it possibly breaking and i am not a diy type of person. i dont want this to look like a 3rd graders experiment i want it actually to look nice and professional. i have never done anything having to do with cutting glass or acrylic and i havent ever did anything with silicone either and believe me i have seen alot of people on here way over do it on the silicone. one thing i will need help with though is plumbing and a return pump that will be after i have my sump installed in a couple weeks. i am a little straped on cash at the moment so i am trying to buy all of this piece by piece, and still make sure i got everything that i need for the upgrade. im just simply tired of having to chase down my nitrates with 25-30% water changes weekly and they still keep rising so hopefully the new sump will fix that.

also thinking about plumbing my 10 gallon into the same system to make it a little more stable. Or should i just keep this a seperate system and use it kinda like a Q.T. tank?

Do you have any nutrient export in the tank currently? a sump in of itself will not relieve nitrates. if you have no cheato or anything now a spot to grow it in will help relieve some problems. A sump is really more for getting all the equipment out of the main display tank.

i plan on making it a fuge with live rock and cheato under my tank i hope that this will reduce the amount of water changes that i need to make and yes i need/want to get everything out of the tank i like the look of drilled tanks better and they seem to run alot smoother and look better in the long run but thats j.m.h.o. anyways with that added i am still looking around for a tank havent found any yet.

I hope you find the tank your looking for, but if you don't I would also suggest drilling it. Drilling is generally more cost effective than trying to purchase a "RR Tank". If you want something that looks nice that you don't have to build yourself check out glass-holes on the net. They have boxes, kits, and free shipping. That may help you avoid the " 3rd graders experiment" look.

Adding a fuge should help your nitrate problem, but you still should try to address what is creating the problem in the first place.

As for the 10 gallon tank... A QT is priceless. You hear so many stories about how one fish or one coral absolutely wrecked someones tank. I doubt you want to be the one telling that story.
