looking at this led, does anyone have real experience?

Don't own that fixture, but general experience has been they don't grow as well as under T5s or Hallides. Most people I know who run LEDs find them to work well, but many have said they were growing better under other lighting. Your coral will grow, but don't expect it to be as good as it would with other forms of lighting.

i think LEDs grow corals as good as T5 or MH. that's why more and more reefers are using LEDs like radions, hydras, razors etc. some even use diy led lightings. i don't own this led fixture so i have no experience with it. but i know many people use led fixtures similar to this one and have success growing corals. it might not be as good as high end ones though. look for the ones that use good led chips such as cree, bridgelux, etc.

I've been struggling with combinations of affordable led lighting for six months. I finally supplemented my leds with T5HO and I'm finally happy.

I have seen a couple SPS only tanks that are driven only with LEDs and I was i AWE. Never had any experience with T5 or MH but seeing these tanks I swear by LEDs.

Do they last and how well do they grow corals?
Please only people who have had owned or own these fixtures.

Those are actually the LEDs I'm running.

I don't have any complaints. Only had them for about 5 months tho.

They seem to be growing softies and LPS fairly well, also have a RBTA about half way up in the tank that seems to like them.

Just be careful not too set them too high if you get them, they are brighter than they look. I ended up having to turn mine down a bit from where i started. Currently running whites at 10% and colors at 55%.

I have 3 over a standard 180.
