Looking for 55g drums (only need 2)

Anybody know of any local places that sell them? I've been to usplastics.com and they want $80 for the ones I want, plus about $50 for shipping and handling of 2!!!

I'm looking to simplify water changes so I want some FDA approved open head drums like these:

Highland campground sells them. He has plastic ones that he sells for I think $20 a barrell

Its located north of scranton about 10 minutes.

Do you have any Coca-Cola or Pepsi bottlers nearby? They would have to actually bottle on site and not just a distribution warehouse.They use the 55g drums for the drink syrups and may let you have a few or sell them cheap. Its worth a look and they are food grade drums and you know what was in them was safe to tank even after washing them out.....

Yeah..the coke syrup plant is right across the street from where I am right now...but I don't know who to call.

Have you checked Criags List for these? No and then you'll find barrel there.

Actually I had checked several times and most of them had been "wanted" instead of "for sale" but I do see one that went in a few days ago.

hmm... I pick up barrells from him all the time.. I am most likely comming to the swap let me know if you still need them by then. I cant remember anything so you have to remind me close to the date.

Thanks...as of right now there is a guy on Craig's list that doesn't have and food grade barrels but is expecting a couple soon. Apparently the go the quickets...he's going to let me know whey they're in since I'm not in a hurry.

If he doesn't pull through by the swap I'll let you know via PM if you're still willing.
