Anyone know where I can get my hands on one to the Uk?

Thanks you!

Thank you very much for them links. Have sent them emails and see what price they can offer.

Btw how long have you had your Mantis shrimps for?

Got a reply from acrylic fab :

thank you for your enquiry.

The cost would be £540.00 + vat + delivery (1400usd)

That is crazzzzzzyyy expensive for a 2 footer :S

Acrylic aquarium replied with : Too small for us ! Sorry

boo hoo !

Shipping is what going to kill you. I took one in on trade form a guy who had a local shop build it. Tank was 24x24x24 rimless cube. Anyway tried to sell it and everyone who wanted it shipped was surprised to here the average cost was 400 plus just to keep it in the states. Shipping is high right now due to fuel prices so good luck getting one all the way over there. Also remember it has to be crated probably so that adds to the price also.

Thanks for your experience spectrascott :D

Iam now looking for a glass tank similar in size but has at least 8mm
thick glass. Ive emailed a few sellers too see if they have the 8mm thick glass. I think the Rena has 10mm thick glass but is too expensive :P

There are loads of glass tanks about at that size and glass thickness; I have a second hand 28" cube that I bought for about £150 with 12mm glass. I'd recommend buying second hand from the UK reef forum classifieds if you're on a budget.

Have you looked at the betta lifespace tanks? Or the Aqua One cubes? Both are reasonably priced.
Windsor aquatics are very reasonable for custom glass builds too and you can specify what glass thickness you'd like.

Spectrascott - shipping is not extortionate in the UK, though fuel prices are high (much higher than the US) we are a very small country so in reality nothing ever has to travel that far and nothing is sent by air.
All the links I supplied were for UK companies (hence not competition to the site sponsors).
