Try...

Try...

The Slyman Brothers.

They deliver stuff every day. Ask for John at teh Manchester store and see if he can save you a TV or Microwave box. But he may try to sell you a refrig or something..

is it legal to take stuff out of the cardboard recycling bins?

can I just "dumpster dive"?

Yes it is legal, however it is illegal to throw anything else back in that was not originally there.

do it!

Pogona, you can't throw stuff in a recycling bin? That doesn't make sense, isn't that the point of having a recycling dumpster bin? ....to take your recyclables there?

If it was illegal wouldn't it just sit there empty?

Let me see if I can clarify this a bit.
You cannot throw anything into a dumpster unless:
1: You own the dumpster
2: You pay to have the dumpster emptied
3: You received permission from somebody who either owns the
dumpster or who is paying to have it emptied.

It is called theft of services, however, you can remove stuff from a dumpster.

I think he was referring to recycling dumpsters.

Of course it's illegal to throw stuff in a private dumpster
