Looking for a broken chiller

Actually I am just looking for a radiator. I have an idea for a ghetto chiller and can't find where to get a radiator.

Check with appliance repair shops that repair refrigerators. The cooling coils on them are generally made of aluminum. You might also check Brown's Appliance Parts on Central. They might have or can get you a new one. Finally, check with Heat and Air repairmen. Most radiators in heat and air systems are copper but a few are aluminum.

Anyone know what saltwater does to aluminum?

Saltwater will destroy Al over time. You can't pump saltwater through a radiator, condenser, or anything of the sort and blow air across it unless it is made of titanium, certain grades of stainless steel, etc. If you want a cheap chiller, why not try evaporative cooling, such as in a bong cooler (GOOGLE it).

That is pretty much the conclusion I had come to. I found where to get titanium tubing but, I don't think it will work as well as I had hoped. I do like the bong cooler. This would work really well in my situation. Would it also double as extra bio filtration?

Doubtful, but it will raise the humidity level in your house LOL.

The page I was reading said to fill it with something like ping pong balls to cut down on noise. I was thinking if you used something like bio balls it would be an extension of the bio filter I use now.
