the tank dosent have to be is perfect shape or even hold water i was gave a baby ball python and need a tank bigger than the 5 gal i was gonna use for a nano just let me kno what you may have laying around thnx

Yeah but pet co can't keep the 40 breeder in stock and a rubbermade isn't a good display at all pop I just want him out of the 5 so I can get that back going

If it's a baby ball, a standard 10 gal should be fine for at least a year. I never keep my baby snakes in large enclosures.

You will be better off with a small tank for a baby ball, which is why I suggested the rubbermaid. I used to breed BPs and I had much better feeding response and health in a smaller enclosure. Make sure you have a regulated heat source and a hide on each side so it can regulate it's body heat without sacrificing the safety of the hideout. BP's aren't the best "display" snakes since they are nocturnal and don't need much room at all. Call me if you have any questions, Robert.

Well its almost a year old now Adrian but yeah It makes sence to stay smaller for him intill he needs a bigger space and any animals I keep I always make a display tank for them and this may have to be the first non display animal

I'd go for at least a 20L display. Even younger BPs need relatively large hides and water dishes, which you'll have trouble fitting in a 10 gallon. The price difference between them, including the extras like screen tops, clips, lights, etc, isn't too bad, and it will last longer.

If you go with a tote instead of a tank (which is probably ideal as Adrian said, since it will probably feel more secure there than in a big glass box), check Bed, Bath & Beyond for some of the better quality totes with locking lids (I think they're Iris totes, but I can't remember for sure). You can use a soldering iron to burn plenty of airholes in it without leaving jagged edges.

Not sure if you have any heat sources yet, but check the clearance shelves at Petsmart for their All Living Things habitat kits: I bought a couple of them for 7.99 (marked down from $28), and they come with either a UTH or a lamp (depending on whether it's a snake, bearded dragon, tree frog, or other kit). That's the least expensive UTH I've found by far (next to buying flexwatt and wiring it yourself). A rheostat or thermostat is a must for running a UTH...I started with the rheostat since it was cheaper, but now I have a thermostat and life is much easier.

Thanks for all the. Info I am just browing a tank that is why I need one. And like you said a ten is. To small to fit any thing in and I do have a. Heat sorce and water dish just that is taking up the whole tank

I have an old 29 (that does hold water) and an old iron stand I'll sell you for $20. The stand could use some scraping and a coat of spray paint. LMK if you would like it.

My number is 615.962.5614 shoot me a picture of it I'm deff wanting it perfect price and I can sand and paint the stand

I have a 37 gal tank that does hold water and the matching marineland hood light filter piece. The ballast needs to be wired up, but a little work would make it nice for what you are doing, I'll take 50 for it, no stand.
Lmk, Mobi

Sorry I don't have a picture (if you want it I have to dig it out of the garage;) ) I just thought I would offer since it's what you are looking for. I can bring it to the meeting at the Critter if you want it or you are welcome to come pick it up.
LMK, Chris
