Looking for a club and a 125 or 150

Hello folks,

I'm somewhat new to PA, moved to the Bloomsburg area, am settinag up some tanks and am looking for a club. Where do y'all usually meet and when? I'm not sure if Bloomsburg counts as NCPA or NEPA, but it seems like you're the nearest club to me.

I'm in the market for a non-drilled 125 or 150 to make a sump filter with. I've got some money and a whole lot of hardware available for trade.

Welcome to PA. Our club usually has our meetings during our frag swaps. You're in luck that the next one is later this month. This is a must see event.

The best suggestion in looking for a tank is to check Craig's List. Otherwise check the prices for a new tank at That Fish Place. Get on their mailing list (snail mail and email) and you should get a 15% off coupon that can be used on a tank.

If it's just a sump I would suggest the rubbermaid tubs from tractor supply. As for official meetings for this club I think there are only meetings at the 3 swaps however some of us have informal get togethers at our houses.

I'm in berwick as well. I was just on craigslist, there are a few options on there, there was a 180 long that I'm assuming isn't drilled because they are throwing in a Hob overflow. I'm in the market for a tank as well! Welcome!!

Welcome,I live in tamaqua, 40 minutes from you, I have seen a few large tanks on craigslist, ill keep an eye out for you =)

Thanks folks, much appreciated!

I'm specifically looking for a tank because it has to fit under a 72x35x24 stand. The big totes won't work due to the dimensions"¦I've got a few already. :)

You looking for anything in particular tiffyreefer?

Stopped by That Fish Place yesterday. They have (2) 150 gallon tanks in the back clearance/second chance room, $150 each.

Unless you are building your stand, you should make sure the tank will not only fit in the stand, but how are you getting it in there. Usually there are 72 1/2"

It's an open metal frame stand already holding a tank with a 72x36 (approx) footprint. It's not a custom tank so I have little worry about there being a shortage of space to accommodate the true dimensions accounting for a little bit extra here and there. "All" I need to do is get the tank into the room and slide it onto the frame. Given where I live getting the tank to the house is more than half the battle.

Other than Knoebels, you are almost in the middle of no-where. If you decide to make the trip, you should call fist to make sure they are still available.

You are going to the swap, right? Hint, hint, nudge, nudge,

I just might make it to the swap meet, yes. I've got out of town company that coming that weekend. We'll see what can be arranged.

Don't I know that I'm in the middle of nowhere! The peace and quiet is nice, but being so far from anything is starting to drive me nuts.

I actually just picked up a 120 from Harrisburg. It's a 1995 oceanic in amazing condition. It's built like a tank! I think I've heard them called "bricks?" Good luck finding a tank, I'm sure you'll find one. I just stalked craigslist for a week.
