How well do the cpr overflow boxes work with power failures? I know they say they will just start back up but i am just wondering if you have experiance with one. I live way out in the country and have constant power failures. My overflow drives me crazy having to get the siphon going again all the time.

I have been doing alot of research about the cpr overflows. For an overflow they are about the best you can get. All types of hang on back overflows have the potential to flood over. To prevent this with the cpr's you need to have a source to keep all the air out of the overflow. Like an aqualifter or a powerhead. As long as you have one of these and keep your overflow clean then you shouldnt have any problems.

That is what i have been reading as well. Let me know how you like it once you get it all going and how quiet it is.

I got one on my tank and it works awsome. Forsure you will need a aqualifter and it's quiet after a lil mod. I made a cover for it on the back part.

The Reeflo Overflow does the same thing and is truly awesome. I ahve one with an aqualifter..and may be selling it with a 15gal sump and return shortly
