Might go to Denver in October. Need a ATO. I'm assuming the tunze is the gold standard for top offs as far as reliability and fail safe protection. I am also curious if any has tried the simplicity return pumps. I am also lookin for a safe and reliable auto feeder. Could use some suggestions here thanks.

Litermeter III by spectra pure is the hands down best ato. I'd pick up an afs that works with your apex.

TBH I had a JBJ ATO before I got my apex and it worked great. I used it with an MJ1200.

That's the setup I use now. It has yet to give me any problems. I have heard about salt creep messing up the float switch, but I've not had that in the couple of years I've used it.

If you want simple and cost effective, it doesn't get any better than that.
