I used a plastic bag and clipped mine to the glass with some food in it...my angel swam into it after about 10minutes...then just reach in quick and pull the bag out takes patience...
I put a little garlic in the water to create a hunger frenze then I used a 3" net and let large mysis trickle out until they got bold enough to follow the lead of other fish into the net for the food.
I scooped the bugger out! It took 3-4 days of getting them used to the net in the water feeding this way before the one I wanted would go in. I let him go in and eat a few times before I scooped.
they sale them at reefworks - i need to buy one of them. always good to have on hand. what kind of fish are you trying to catch? can you use a hook with the burb cutoff- i dont know if i would try this, but i have heard of people having good success doing this.
I would hate to buy one for just one fish. It is a sailfin tang that I have had since it was very small. It was in my 180 and now I have downsized to my 65. He is not very large now but I would still like to find him a larger home.
