looking for a good air pump

i realy need a good air pump maybe a luft or somthing as good. my pump died today and im in need of one bad. i would like to get one in the next couble of days. thank you for looking

i need one to run my diy skimmer. my basement got a little water the only thing that was on my floor was the air pump for my skimmer. i had to shut it down.

I also have a few...some are older but one is a Tom Aquatics (I am not sure which one it is...either the 40 or the 60), it is brand new, never used. Is this what you are looking for?

The important thing you need to consider is the height of the skimmer. At six feet you need to overcome more than 2.5psi.

As the psi increases the volume per minute decreases. Here is a chart for various whitewater pumps.

Decide on the cfm and then get a pump that we exceed that. I do not have an air pump but have done research expecting to get one soon. Drs Foster and Smith has a Super Luft which several posters suggested to me in other threads.

I have a rena air 100 which is only good for 20 gallons, and the other one I'm not sure. probably neither will be good at that height/pressure

I think he might have gotten a pump late last night. I talked to him for a few miutes last night and I am pretty sure he mentioned that he picked up a pump. I wish he would post a thread about his skimmer though. This thing is a monster and is probably rated for 5 times his tank size.. It rocks.
