Looking For A Good Skimmer

Bought one. Got a nice deal on a Euroreef CS62 with a Sedra 5000 pump.

Anyone have this model, feedback on it?

Lets see what all the euroreef hype is about.

i have a 6-3 that i moded like the asm (recirculating type)
so far so good. at the top are the smallest bubbles and i run mine wet so i dont have to do water changes
mine is very sensitive as well.
if i put mysis shrimp in the P.E. kind it goes nuts trying to take the oil out of the water

I have a RS8-2 that im in the process of upgrading a bit.. Sedra 9000, etc.. Have not run it yet, but im looking forward to it..

BTW.. I saw the post on the skimmer you bought, very nice!!!

Thanks, Im not really sure of the pecking order of skimmers with EuroReef but I think I got a middle of the road model with them. But from what I've read, middle of the road with euroreef is top of the line or better with any other skimmer made.

I actually bought the RS8-2+ model, not sure what the "+" stands for.

you get a 6 or an 8? the + I beleive has to do with the height of the skimmer, but I could be wrong.

6" CS6, the + may be the upgraded pump

yep.. I think your right.. should be a great skimmer.. Does it have the gate valve mod or are you gonna do that yourself? Im in the process of doing that on mine.

He said he is including two Uni-Seals needed to make this a recirculating skimmer. No gate on it. I stink at modding/fab work

We've had our CS6-1 for a couple years now with no problems.
The gate mod is quite easy and I think you can buy it complete from the ER web site.
It's a lot easier than sliding the riser - plus no need for the sponge......
