Looking for a mare for onyx percula

2 days ago, I found one of my onyx perculas on the ground[emoji30]. It's my own fault, I have been trying to figure out a canopy for awhile now and haven't yet. Either way, I want to get another clownfish for the remaining onyx percula. Im curious as to what options I have, can I get a different clown like an ocellaris? The one that is left was the smaller of the 2. I could get another onyx percula I suppose, but it would end up costing me a lot of money because I would have to order it online from a breeder. I'm not in any rush, still beating myself up about the clown that jumped to its death.

Anyone? I really want to know if they are more likely to pair up if it is another percula, or if it really doesn't matter whether it is an ocellaris or a percula

Percula would be best, though it isn't unheard of for pairs to form across species.

Platinum, Onyx and Picasso are true percs. Snow Onyx and Black Photon clowns are hybrids of Ocellaris and Percula. Snowflakes, Frostbite, Wyoming Whites, Naked, Midnight, Domino, Phantom are Ocellaris. I am sure there are a couple more that I haven't listed.

Thank you so much. Seriously. Having a list in one place is very helpful. Another question, I have seen a lot of other names before Picasso, but if it says Picasso somewhere in the name that means it's a percula correct?

You are welcome. If you are referring to Onyx-Picasso and the likes then yes they are true percula variations.
