Looking for a new Camera (d40x upgrade)

Hey everyone, i just sold my Nikkon D40x and was looking to upgrade a little.

I had my eye on a Nikkon d3000

Im looking around the $300 price range mostly used for my reef tank.

Do you have the lenses from your old camera? If so I'd get this one.
