Looking For A Pump

I would like some advice on submersible return pumps. I am starting a 10 gallon display tank(softy's) with a 10 gallon sump/fuge. I have been having a hard time deciding what pump to use because most every web site I visit has no information about the amount of flow at a given head hight for small pumps. I have estimated the head pressure for this return system to be about 5'.

MarineDepot only offers this information on via aqua(a hard to read graph) and mag drive pumps... So, I saw a used mag2 at the frag swap(75gph@5') for $15, but when I had a chance to come back to the table and buy it, it was gone. No biggie, but so far the mag2 or mag1.9(100gph@5') have been some of my best guesses for the correct pump to use. I suppose I could get a larger pump than necessary and just throttle it back with a ball valve, though I would prefer to keep my power consumption low.

Here are a few questions:

What brand/model pump would you use for the return and why would you use it?

Do you have a pump that fits this application that you would like to sell to me? If so, please let me know.

If I'm missing some important bit of information, please ask. Thank you for your help.

I have a mag3 that needs a new impeller. I've superglued the impeller/magnet but it doesn't stay. You can have it free.

Kudos to the Dr.! He is also making so much money from his new promotion it would almost be sinful if he sold it. JJ

before you buy a new one I would try a 2 part epoxy first. I had a Rio run for years like that.

geoxman, good idea, I will try the 2 part first. I will likely try to shave the impeller a little as well while I'm at it.

I might have got your hopes up for nothing. I can't find the pump. I don't think I threw it away so I'll keep looking.

It is in the laundry room where you keep your spare empty buckets. Look beside the washer and dryer. It is covered in some dirty laundry towards the back

Ask Glenn, he has a pump that was mounted like a powerhead. I think it originally was hooked to a spray bar made of locline. It looked a lot like a mag pump but wasn't. He has new powerheads now.
