Looking for a Skeletor Eel

right now he has a small black nox angel, a medium leopard wrasse, and a small tomato clown in the tank. He chased the clown around for a few days and that was it, he rarely messes with anything anymore.

Woohoo! DD came through! Should have my eel on Tuesday! Will post pics, so excited ..... Been looking at a PVC pipe ready tank for quite awhile now so definitely ready to get this guy in there. They have another 2 so check DD!!! I'm also really nervous to get too happy before I actually have the eel happy and swimming around in my tank..... Crossing fingers and toes here lol.

That's awesome!

My LFS, Country Critters in Patchogue, NY has one. Ive seen it eat defrosted silversides with gusto. Not sure about price or shipping but you could contact them and ask. Ask for Jonathan.

There's a skeletor eel going upnon DD tonight.
Just thought I'd give you a heads up.
Good Luck With Your Search.

That would be awesome thanks :D

Yeah I really wanted around 8-12", so if the one on tonight is 13" that would be perfect.

Really scared of a little 5" eel getting out of some of the last tiny holes I have left in my setup >:0

Also didn't really want an 18"+ giant in this tank...

Thanks again for the heads up... have one pretty good lead if this falls through, but the guy only "thinks" he can get one Friday, so we'll see...

Keep us posted. It would be great to see how these eels do over time as I haven't found tons of information on them. Mine is settling down so I should have some pics by tomorrow :)

Yeah there really isn't anything on them... even the area they come from seems to be reported as wrong.

Seems the come from around Easter Island vs Sumatra / PNG ... :debi:

Guy who sold two said they are VERY laid back, said a lot more so then Snowflakes / Chainlinks... said he's only had them go after hermits, hadn't even touched a shrimp. Said frozen crab might be the best to feed them as well.

Yeah I got it :)

Fastest DD sale ever, was actually just refreshing every 5 seconds from 4:55 lol...

I didn't even see the size of the eel, just saw it pop up and bought it... freaked out since I didn't see the size haha

Ummmm, no! I have two of them and they are far from laid back, lol.

Haha, more wrong info!

I actually did talk to country critters today, they had one which was on hold... for $800

Other lead was Ron at Octopus' Garden in San Deigo, he sells them for around $90 and thought he could get one from a wholesaler in Los Angeles... but still said he has only found 2 so far.

PS. What do you feed them Moray Keeper? Also, what are their growth rates?
