looking for Clown ID... pics inside

I bought these little guys from a LFS that listed them as onyx clowns. One of them is really quite juvenile, and I am not sure if I just bought a pair of true percs or if they are in fact onyx and will darken up over time. Any help would be appreciated.

juvenile percula's..they could turn into onyx..they are too young to tell. Did your lfs get them from Rod as in Rods onyx?

I have no idea honestly. I bought them with the mindset that they were attractive and active. I don't care if they are onyx or not, but it would be nice to know. I guess time will tell though.

The smaller one is showing a black shoulder, but that could be sign of either, I guess it will be a wait and see thing

I would have ask the LFS what makes them say they are onyx. Are the parents onyx & have other offspring from these parents produced onyx colors. Alot of onyx parents dont produce onyx offspring.

On a side note... the split head bar on one of your clowns is really neat

thanks a lot! Yeah, I liked the separated bar as well. I'm not sure if it will grow out, but it's cool nonetheless.
