hey all im new of course and im looking to get some frags for my tank. its a 50 gal with 2-250w hqi mh which i thought was almost to much but TFP told me it would be good. so im looking for anything thats easy to care for and has nice color. im in hershey and can travel. thanks in advance

yea ill propbally go to the swap in jan but was looking to get something now and help out fellow reefers locally.

Hahahah, you STILL have mushrooms to get rid of?

Yea I have a red and green thumb when it come to mushrooms!

on a different topic Billy I really think you would go a long way to reducing your nitrates but getting rid of your sand in the bottom of your tank. Just put in a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of sugar sand or course gravel. Just my two cents

She's right. Nevermind supporting the people in our club.

Sorry, wasn't aware that our club was hosting a frag swap.

Edit:

Oh wait, no, I'm not sorry.

Rather, I was answering the original poster's query and wasn't making a statement about the viability of this club. Really -- why do you have to be like this?

I never said our club was hosting a frag swap.

I just don't understand why you don't promote the people in this club who have helped you out.

Not that you shouldn't promote the NCPARS swap, but seriously, what about the people in this club? Why not start with them?

You did start with them, Steve, she merely offered another option.

Perfect example of what happens when the hobby takes a turn towards for-profit business, it gets complicated and messy. Reminds me of the guy in Baltimore... sure he has an amazing setup, but got his panties in a twist when I took a picture on my cell phone. Was it rude of me not to ask first? Maybe? Most people would take that as a compliment but instead I get barked at like I'm going to steal his trade secrets and put him into financial ruins. Not the sort of guy I'd like to sit around with and talk over a beer.

I like(d) our club because of the informality of it all and freedom to exchange ideas, but now Emily getting condemned for *gasp* suggesting an event hosted by a 'rival' club, stealing away business, BLASPHEMY!

I truly do understand what you're getting at, and I certainly was at the debt of your and others' generosity while I was involved with the club, but this is a slippery slope.

On a lighter note :)

I have Huge Kenya Trees and green mushrooms. $20 for as many as you want.

I also have orange and purple cap 2-3" frags $15 each...

Also, 1-2" Green Slimer frags $15 each

I live in Reading PA...

Calm down, everyone! Steve has always been the club jester, and this is exactly his MO. He's just pulling chains, and you guys are falling for it......
(remember the "Matt is having personal issues" thread?)

If I may....I'm not really sure how we are "rivals". We, NCPARS, make no money on any of the corals that are sold at the swaps we sponsor. Any money we make from admissions is used to pay for the food, the hall and the speakers. We also sponsor a Tanks in Schools program as seen here. http://www.mrflint.com/fish/ If a NCPARS member sells a coral, he/she gets the $, not the club. Likewise, if a non NCPARS member attends our swap and sells a coral, he/she makes the $. The club gets nothing but the admission fee. I really don't see a rivalry thing...

With that being said, we hope to see a bunch of you at our 2nd Annual Winter Frag Swap on Sat, Jan 30 at TFP. Everyone is welcome! :)
