Looking For Deals

Hello, i'm new to all of this but i have done alot of reading and asked questions at many LFS, i will be ready to get a 24g Aqua- pod Nano soon. Here in SLO North County i'ts very $$$ not the type of money i want to spend. i travel up & down central coast Santa Barbara to Santa Cruz so going to other LFS is not a problem any good ones out there that i should check out, i could do all my shopping Via Computer if needed.

any help would be great!

The best LFS's I have ever been to are in the Bay Area (Aquatic Gallery, Mermaid and Atlantis (10000 gallons each store, easy) to name a few.) There is a really good one in SLO, not sure if I remember the name (Aquatics maybe?) Been a few years. If you are ever in the Monterey area try to visit Picture Perfect Pets (1500 gallons) over in Marina. Now, I go there all the time and usually I never leave with anything because it's not too often that they get anything good. But every once in a great while they will get an awesome shipment and I will end up spending more than $100 over there. Worth a try if you are in the area.

To be honest, it's not worth the trip. The place is too small, worth a visit if you are local or if you happen to be in the area. You should be going to Aquatic Gallery in Milpitas or Atlantis in Fremont.

I really like 6th Ave Aquarium in SF, too. I confess, though, the only thing I bought was rock - but an excellent deal. They've had many, many fish - and not just the standards - everytime I've been there and lots of corals. The fish all looked very healthy to me. I don't recall ever hearing anything bad about them. ::shrug:: I like 'em. And bonus, you get to go to SF.

Not Spoon - - but Picture Perfect is in Marina on Reservation Rd. Seacrest Plaza.

Justin's right, it's really small, but if you're in the area, they have a cool little selection, certainly more corals than any other place in the area.

picture perfect is a decent store, the staff is really nice as well, when ya go there dont let laura scare you hehe.

i went to picture perfect pets and loved it, they are a great store, they are more of friends than salesman.for me its deffenantly worth the 90 min drive.
