that is a choati leopard wrasse ! awesome fish and a stunning looker too .
the viper has had tankmates but they were limited to large triggers and he even went after a couple but didnt hurt them ,just a little flesh wound ya know?

um its called the " leopard wrasse primer "and its been going on for almost a year if its that fish your talking about you will find tons of info there .other than that what are you suggesting ? Aquarium awareness anonymous for me ?
I saw that ribbon eel at Coral Reef. It's gorgeous! Most have an extremely poor success rate in captivity, because they won't eat. This guy is eating silversides & I think he's only around $70.
I like ribbon eels, but they seem difficult to care for. Still have my hopes set on a snowflake or zebra moray... but everyone who might have one has probably already seen this...
I have a moray (im not sure of the name, sold as assorted). He hasn't bothered any of my fish (clowns, chromis, blennies, tangs etc). He did eat two cleaner shrimp. There are pics in my gallery. let me know if you are interested. He is probably about 18-20 inches and doesn't seem to have grown very much since I've had him (about 8 months). He basically stays in his rock area with his head sticking out. Eats silverslides off a stick once or twice a week.
