looking for external skimmer

looking at buying an external skimmer does anyone have any input on a pretty good one? I was looking at maybe picking up an octopus dnw-150 anyone have any experience with that one? Only reason why i want an external is because my sump is for one set up for external and my turboflotor skimmer i have now won't fit inside my sump. thanks

both the clowns are doing great, they just follow my big clown all over and my big clown chases my other fish away when they get close to the little ones. kinda funny watching them but have noticed that my big clown has been venturing away from his spot in the tank. thanks again for the clowns

what size turboflotor do you have ?

I have a Aqua Medic Turboflotor protein skimmer that I used to hang on the outside of the tank, mine could be used as external or internal, I don' t know if you would be intereseted in it or not. Its rated up to 200 gallons, not sure if its the same thing that you have or not. Mine worked wonderfully when I hung it on the outside of my sump. If your interesed let me know. I upgraded so its just sitting in my fish room.

i have the turboflotor 1000 with the ocean runner 2500 pump and a small feed pump for it. just not enough room in the sump i have for it. kita_katan do you have the turboflotor multi version?

I have the 5000 II , 29 inch tall w/ocean runner 3500 , and it kicks butt !!! old school type skimmer , big time results . the 1000 is a nice skimmer for smaller tanks , it will pull out some junk for sure
