I dont know if this guy is still looking for tank advice? Personal experience of glass cages is very similiar to others posting here. I have bought a couple different stores out over the years and alot of the tanks they were storeing around were glass cages tanks. Every one of them was broken or the seems had come apart. I was looking into having a custom tank made a year ago and was qouted a minimum of $3000 from several custom tank builders. glass cages qouted me $750. I got to the point of either getting a glass cages or a Deep Sea (Oceanic) and simply asked deep sea why the prices were so different. the glass is apparently a much cheaper grade of glass, there seems dont hold up over time (on larger tanks) and the overall quality (silicone, glass, cheap frames) was very underpar. I also did some research online and found alot of people with larger tanks were having the seems come apart after a year or so. I guess the stand level could be contraversial. But there is just to much of a trend in the glass cages products to assume it is all the customers fault. The thing is if you are willing to deal with problems, you could infact buy 3 or 4 tanks to replace yours if it has a problem for the same price as one good quality tank. For me I dont have the time for problems, and im picky. not to mention the thousands of dollars in coral and fish I would lose. so for me it became a nobrainer. I am however sure they can make a good tank, I have seen cee's tank several times, and it is a nice looking tank, and obviously has held up well for him.
I have had the glass cages discussion several times, and all can say is take my opinion with a grain of salt, but do more research online with other peoples experiences and you will be able to make a better decision
