Hi everyone
I'm in the process of gathering equipment and finding a tank
I'm going to be building a peninsula style 96x30x30
Tank that will. Divide my dining room and family room, of the new house were going to be building.
My questions are about flow
Being a peninsula tank overflows being on one end and not wanting to see power heads. what are my options close looped with ocean motions 4 way?
How many intakes would you guys use and how many returns would you use
My equipment all be in the basement with the exception of the closed loop
And what is everybody's opinion on acrylic tanks over glass?
I have about 10-15k set aside for this build

Its a personal preference the acrylic vs glass debate. Im with acrylic for larger tanks. Both have flaws and positives. You can have the oceans motions underneath and through the bottom of the tank. I've seen it on here somewhere with a peninsula tank with 8 outlets I think. I would budget more if you are buying everything new. Closer to 20K but you can save a tonne doing alot yourself and with 'mates rates'

+1 - These are really totally personal preferences. I have little use for acrylic with all the scratches and stuff. For glass, make sure you have euro-bracing top and bottom on a large tank.

For closed loop several people on here on RC have gone with the Flow Wolf instead of Ocean Motions. Check it out. Another option for closed loop is to come in over the top instead of from the bottom, but if you are concerned with seeing pipes then over the top is harder to hide.
