I have a new 128 gal. currently housing a zebra eel. I would like to get a porcupine puffer, and am looking for a good article to do my due dilligence to research before buying. I did a search in the Reefkeeping magazine but no luck.

Anyone know were I can find some good info specific for puffer keeping?

Thanks!

Seconded on wetwebmedia.
Also, no matter what anybody tells you, I strongly suggest quarantining and doing hyposalinity on the puffer and any other teleost/fish inhabitant that ever goes into the tank. Puffers are insanely susceptible to ich and it's much harder for them to "fight it off" or "get over it" like most other marine fish can. If a puffer gets ich and is not treated, there is a fairly good chance it will succumb to the parasite or related problems.

Other than that little hurdle, as long as they are fed a varied diet and have a sufficient sized tank, they're very hardly little dudes and will quickly become closer to a dog than a fish in the eyes of their owner.

i have had one for a year, he is nocturnal but follows us around like a puppy begging for food. very hardy and entertaining fish!

you can barely see him here in the front

Wow that little guy is seriously cute!

Thanks for the tip, I found a great article at wetwebmedia.

In my searching, I came across some posts about quarantining and the importance of this, and I am finally convinced that this is necessary. I lucked out so far, but no more taking chances. So now, I am researching that whole quarantine tank adventure!

Thanks again!

Good choice. I love my porc.
They grow very fast if well fed, and are messy, but worth it. Just make sure to feed him a good diet, and you will be fine.
clekchau what size tank is that? Those PHs look tiny.
