Looking for gorg ID and some pointers :)

Acronic

The Fifth Master
I've had these for a few weeks now and was looking for some more info about their needs and maybe some helpful tips. I have a spare dosing pump avail for feeding if necessary but I would rather just toss in some baby brine ect a few times a week if that will work. Thanks for any help guys.

This guy is happy as a clam, open almost all the time and I have seen the polyps feeding frequently.

This guy is closed more often. I believe it is waxing? For the second time in about a month, I am not sure if that is ok or not.

In the long run tossing in food a few times a week won't cut it. They ideally need to be fed continuously to keep them alive and healthy.

what should I be feeding it? I have baby brine, cyclopees, oyster eggs ect lots of stuff but im not sure what it is capable of eating. I have an sps tank so continuous heavy feeding is not something I want to do. I have a spare pump on my GHL doser and could try and feed a pipe to its location and continuously feed small amounts say every hour.

Anybody have and ID?

Thanks

Yes every polyp needs to be fed for it to survive. I would feed them the cyclopeeze and the oyster eggs and also a zooplankton food mix. You should definitely look into the fauna marin food for gorgonians. As for an I'd I am not sure about the red and white one but the purple one is definitely a guagorgia
