I want to get a macro lens for my D50, i most likely will buy used because i dont have the cash to spend $400+ on a new lens. I was mainly focusing on the Tamron 90mm or Sigma 105mm. One thing i noticed is that some of the Tamron lenses are 1:1, and some are 1:2, i know that the 1:1 is better, but does anyone have an example of the differences between the two? I also see that you can buy extension tubes that will make it 1:1, but will it truely function the same?
