get a holder for 4 inch filter sock, get 25 micron ones from FAOIS, change out every day. Best you can do 
IMO . Secret (or no secret) is to change out every day. I run 2 on my 120 and swap daily. I wash once a week (have a pretty good stockpile) in wash machine using vinegar and bleach on "white" setting (hot). You will be surprised at the difference in what collects in an 25 micron and a 100 micron (most shops sell 100 or 250 micron, FAOIS sells the best).

You don't realm even need the sock holder. You can use a price of spair pvc pipe to hold up the sock filter if you have the room

Actually that is what I do, hold up with a 3/4 inch PVC that spans the sump and holds the socks. I just was throwing out the idea of a filter sock basically.
