looking for opinions

I have a 72 bowfront and have 2x250 mh and 2x110 actinics 0n mostley sps is it possible that this could be to much light ? I thought about cutting back to 150-175 x2 I am currently using reefluk 12k de my corals just dont' have the growth and seem to be monochromatic in color all parameters seem pretty good ph 8.1 no trites trates at .o8 ca 425 alk 9dkh yet still not getting great growth been doin' this reef thing for maybe 8-10 yrs and still have questions second guessing can get expensive fast just looking for opinions on the subject thanks for answering another light question .

I don't think its too much light. Frags can start out growing slow and then grow faster. I run 250 watt MH on my 75 gallon reef.
you could cut back the photoperiod. 5-6 hours a day is enough for most SPS.

How old are the bulbs? You might try switching the halides out for a different bulb flavor. 10k's might get you better growth, while 20k's would probably get you more color.

That bowfront is probably too deep for 150's to work well. I also switched to 250's on my 75.

how's your flow? when I added more flow to my tank it really helped out my growth a lot.
