Here's the deal....I was able to purchase an Allenbatrachus grunniens, also known as a grunting toadfish, and 2 "freshwater" snowflake eels.
I claimed them sight unseen, thinking they could go into my 75g reef tank (they have been living in 1.020 already).
Got there to pick them up and they are absolutely HUGE. No way they are going in my reef tank with my expensive marine fish....well, the eels probably could, but not the toadfish. Unfortunately, the only other empty tank I had around was a 29g, certainly not big enough for one of them, let alone all 3.
So....I am looking for a good deal on a 75-90g tank, with stand, and a cover is an absolute must....OR...I need to sell these guys to a better prepared home.
They are all eating frozen everything and have been in captivity for well over 2 years (I know how long the person before me had them, and how long the one before them did too).
The toadfish is about 6" long and has a head larger than a golfball. HE IS VENOMOUS! He swallows common goldfish like candy.
The eels are probably 18-24" long. Not as flashy as the marine snowflakes, but very pretty nonetheless.
If you have a tank you would like to sell, or if you are interested in any of the above fish, please send me an email to luvabunny2@cox.net.
Thanks!
