I received two Horses for free the other day.I was not expecting them but the price was right. They are eating me out of house and home{not really just all pods in my pod farm] The farm is not keeping up.They are wild caught horses so frozen food is not and option for now.The San fran srimp are to small. So I am looking for a live food I can raise myself that is a little larger. Also the Phyto and rotifers are for the babies that keep popping out.HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP.I need Phyto/Rotifers/Large pods.....Thanks

You should give desjardiniidj a PM, he has experience with rotifers and green water.
I have rotifers also, and feed them with nannochl. paste. You can have some as a starter and grow them, however it will take some time to raise enough to feed the babies.

You may want to post over in the seahorse forum. They can give you good advice about feeding wild caught horses.

you should try feeder guppies and acclimate slowly to saltwater tank.

Be careful with feeder fish you get from LFS, usually they come with diseases.

some pet stores offer frozen rotifers now - not sure if they need to be alive for the horses (babies) to feed on them.....

what type os seahorse ? erectus fry will take freshly hatched bbs from birth . seahorse.org has several live food sources listed for the adults. Rod might have rots .

p.s. I have had great success training to frozen using pescine energetics mysis ( they are large whole pieces so they resemble the live version ). once one takes it , the others will follow .

I do have rotifers that I would be happy to give you some of. Hopefully they will culture well for you and then I could get some back in the event that mine should ever crash. I do not culture phyto though.
