looking for some advice, new 125 gallon setup

Reading these sites till my eyes pop out, looking to find someone local to see a setup like this in action, or just chat over phone, if anyone is willing to offer their time.

Anyways, here is where I am at. 125 gallon built in wall, backside sits on a cabinet (reinforced) in a laundry room. I have carte blanche with all plubming and space beneath this sucker. Was done this way when I bought the house. Tank was a cichlid tank still running on an undergravel filter, man was that nasty when I pulled it out!!!!!

Starting my conversion over to salt now, tank has been cleaned and sanitized, now am stuck in analysis paralisys with overflow box size \ location (center or ends) and all the plumbing options.

Thought it was as easy as just buy a GH box and drill away, now I see Beans post and the 3 pipe setup and wonder if I should look more closely at what I will be buying \ planning before I do any drilling.

Maybe you can put a nice painting on the wall over the hole where the tank is? Not much help but out-of-sight/out-of-mind and can be chucked when tank is up and running.

Paint the back of the tank? Then you can't see straight through.

The three pipe set up is called the herbie overflow. It's main purpose, although slightly more complex, is to prevent tank overflow in the event your main overflow pipe becomes clogged and the return pump pumps all the water from the sump to the main tank causing a nice mess....worth looking into just for that safety buffer and peace of mind WHEN stuff goes wrong. One less thing to really worry about.
