Looking for some colorful SPS frags

Now that I just unloaded most of my frags I'm looking to stock back up on some pieces I can't seem to find locally. I'm looking for frags that are under $20. I really only need pieces that are 1"-2". So if you have any frags that look like the ones below I would love to pick up a piece from you. Also if you have any pieces that are unusual or Tri-Color type acros I would love to get a frag.

I'm also looking for some Bottlebrush Acros, Deep Water Acros, Tortusa, or Echinata.

Thanks,
Brian

Finding those for under 20 is going to be a task . Most of those look to be name brand corals which means top dollar prices. I know Aquatic tech has some 20 dollar frags in his bin outside and Dan has some nice ORA frags in stock now too. Any luck checking those stores out?
Erik

And if you do find some for under 20, let a brother no :)

Erik's right.
Really, let folks know if you find those high end frags for less than what you yourself listed in a recent for sale thread for 1 inch plain jane tricolor for $20, Not less than. Why not request them for free while you are being so bold Bos?

$30 to $50 is actually a very reasonable expectation and price for those frags.

Wow, and I thought this was a friendly club. I guess the idea of having a club to swap frags for less that you could buy them on-line or in a store is a STUPID idea then. Maybe I should change the prices I charge for frags then I must be missing the boat. I have spent much more buying pieces on-line hoping to frag some for local reefers.

I don't remember posting specific requirements for all of these "exotic corals" expecting documented lineage. I said "look like" or "unusual? Sorry if I was expecting too much!

I thought $20 was reasonable if I'm way off sorry. I've never sold a frag for more than $20 regardless of what I paid for it. A colony or large piece is a different story, but a frag is simply a frag a small piece of a coral

I guess being reasonable and benefiting the club is not what this is about, it's about making money on your frags.

I really don't think that Erik and Mike are trying to ruffle any feathers here. You're right about the club, and it is a great source for frags at less than you might pay retail. This might be a case of where the written format of the boards fails to communicate tone or intent. All the same, those guys are right. People don't make money off frags. The cost of running our tanks will never be recouped by frag sales. You are likely to find the common, easier to keep frags at "discount" rates, but the "high end" or specialty colors, etc., still command a price above cut rate. I think 30 to 50 bucks would be a great deal on those pieces. Just look at what all the Aussie LPS stuff goes for these days.

Anyway, I'm all for the good deal and trying to pass it along. Best of luck.

Happy reefing!

Ben

I wasn't trying to be rude in anyway. Sorry if I came across that way. I just you you don't see those kinda frags for usually under 50 bucks a frag and if you do happen to get lucky let me know is all.
Erik

I would like any of those pieces too. I do have a couple of bright colored SPS I could frag but I think you already have a bright green monti cap, bright purple rimmed green monti cap and a rust-orange colored monti cap. I do have a purple echinopora that is pretty fast-growing and an orange digitata that is doing good in my tank but may just be getting big enough to frag.
