Looking for some interesting crabs and shrimp

that are reef safe. I would like an anemone shrimp or decorator crab or a porcelain crab. Any other shrimp or crabs that you guys enjoy?

I have a pistol shrimp and a watchman pair. Very neat to watch. The shrimp did drag my small candy cane coral under his rock though. Good sand sifter that normally doesn't bother anything.

I too have a Yellow Watchman and a Pistol and love them. Very interesting to watch the burrow all around. Although sometimes he goes missing for a day and scares me, grr! You just have to keep an eye out for where his burrow will open up next! Hahah.

I was thinking about getting a pistol shrimp.

I also like the Harlequin Shrimp, Bumble Bee shrimp, pom pom crab, sally lightfoot, crinoid squat lobster. there are a lot I like as you can tell.

Which one is good at sifting the sand?

Harlequin Shrimp are pretty cool, but you do have to feed them starfish. That's the only thing they eat.

I wish I didn't have a banded coral shrimp. Mine is a menace. I purchased it for bristle worm control and all it does is chase my fish.

What kind of starfish?

Chocolate chip star fish. They are about $10 a piece and it will last 2 Harliquin Shrimp about 2-3 weeks. I put one a month in.

lol that would be crazy to see. i have one too and mine doesnt really bother much. only time i notice him snipping at fish is at feeding time.

I guess decorator crabs should be avoided.

I had a decorator in the late 80's in a 15 gal mini-reef setup. Only had mushrooms and zoos. It didn't bother anything. Don't know how they do with all the corals available now.
