21st birthday just passed and after spending about 200 bucks in key west drinking i want to spend the rest of my gift money on tank stuff...
first and foremost i want to upgrade my tank... i am not supposed to have anything over 10 gallons in my residence hall, but since i am the resident assistant nobody is here to tell on me... i cant go too big though because i move at least once a year... i was thinking a cube design would be easiest to move, but i am not a fan of any tank over ~16" it just looks funny to me unless it is pretty deep (front to back) any suggestions? really i loved my cusom 21gal i made but it leaks and i dont have the patience to tear it apart and re-silicone the whole thing (i may try one more time, but im not counting on it)
an anemone for my clowns... the pair have been hosting my torch lately but i think they are irritating the heads because it really hasnt extended much since the moving fiasco. i REALLY like purple LTAs but they have been almost impossible to find... this one isnt so much of a priority because its looking like i will have a forrest of xenia soon and i will hope they find that interesting... just in the past 5 days i was gone a stalk attached to a shot glass i have in the tank and a new stalk grew in its place...
LPS corals... i love em, what can i say... particularly torch, hammer, frogspawn... really the rest i can do without, but i love my torch and i once saw a clear tentacle with orange tipped frogspawn that i kick myself daily i didnt pick up when i had the chance...
Monti Cap.... just a nice sps, i like the way they look and that they grow fairly quickly, plus im always down for a splash of color like red or orange, my tank is dominated by green with that big torch (once he opens up again) and the growing pack of green-ish shrooms
any tabling acro... i also like the way this sps grows just a cool effect in my opinion...
Really the tank problem needs to be solved first as i have very little room left in my 5.5 to put anything (if i tried to get an anemone for example it could wipe out all my corals at once because of how small the tank is)
sooooo,,,, a really long message and the point is... does anyone have any tank suggestions? cool torch, hammer frogspawn frags? monti or tabling acro pieces? overall comments, concerns, suggestions?
