Hi all,

I have a 90 gallon FOWLR system (well sort of FOWLR, no corals but a few inverts) and I am looking for suggestions for additions.

Here are the current fish residents:

4 Chromid Damsels
3 Firefish
1 Scooter Blenny
1 Watchman Goby
1 Pearly Jawfish
1 Kole Tang
2 Maroon Clowns (pair)
1 Neon Basslet

Here are the current Inverts:

1 Red Knobby Starfish
1 Red Serpent Star
1 Coral Banded Shrimp
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 Sebae Anemone (hosting clowns above)
40 lbs live rock
60 lbs live sand
Misc hermit crabs and snails

Forest of Macro Algae at one end.

My wife really wants to get a Hippo Tang (Dori) but I am resisting in a tank this size. We are looking for something else on the large and showy side and would love to hear advice. We may eventually want to convert this to a reef, so I am thinking to stay with reef safe critters but I am not 100% on that.

Equipment:
Wet Dry Filter
Avast Protein Skimmer
18 Watt UV Sterilizer
4X110 Watt VHO 50/50 lamps (T12)
2 Stream pumps on wavemaker

A yellow tang would grow to a good enough size to be an eye catcher and would be fine in a 90 gallon. I have seen Purple Tangs in 90 gallons as well but they might need more room and are more aggressive so it might go after the Kole tang.

You have some highly aggressive fish in your tank. From your fish population, this is a relatively new tank?

The maroons are aggressive. Wait until they bite your hand, then you will realize how aggressive they can be.....lol. I recommend you to get a purple tang for your tank, it's beautiful and will control the algae in your tank.
