Looking for turtle tank...

Kids brought home a class pet, a red eared slider, for the summer. Much to my dismay he was in a 10gallon tank, no filter etc. He approximately is 9" and needs a larger tank. I am looking for a 30 to 50 gallon tank and a canister filter.

Let me know if someone has one laying around. PM me or post on her please.

I used to have a pair of painted turtles back when I lived in Michigan in a 75 gallon freshwater setup. The are extremely tolerant as far as water quality. They survive in swamps in nature. You should realize they have a long lifespan in captivity with a 20 year plus life expectancy. The ones I had reached about 8 inches or so in length. They need a floating island made out of wood or something with a light to bask in. They are very messy but filtration wise you only need something to keep the water clear for your viewing pleasure more than to keep them happy. Of course the only picture of the tank I had was after a party when some friends decided it would be funny to leave empty beer bottles in the tank.
