Looking for Zoa frags in Quadcities area

Looking for a few small supercolored zoa frags. I have a 10 gal nano that I am starting to stock with corals and think that zoanthids will fit in nicely. Really dont have that much money but I have a few friends that their tanks are now ready too. Really didnt want to order online or trade over the internet over distances (shipping costs seem a little too high for something that grows like a weed in everyone elses tank). Aquatics really hasnt had anything that is colorful enough or cheap enough for my tank. I just bought a few frags from there last week (kenya tree and small leather). My tank has a 2x65 pc light over it and has been up and going for about 6 months now. Also I have a small surplus of cheato if anyone locally is intrested (bout 3 small sandwich bags) that I am will to give away for free. I will have more to give away in a few weeks. My friends and I believe in sharing what we have when we have a surplus. Also was sort of intrested in in joining GIRS but was curious what was up with the website, it seemed like it hasnt been updated in a while.
Thanks In Advance

Welcome to RC and Welcome to the GIRS forum rico.

Locally for zoa's I think Atram is your best bet. Al is getting some farely nice ones. I think matt the fiddler still has some cool ones too.

If you want to join the club and get some zoa on the cheap the club's frag auction in April would be worth checking out.

Got any pics of your nano?

I have a few but there has been a lot of changes since they were taken. I dont have a camera but a friend of mine came over and took them a few months ago. I have since added a new light and about four more pounds of rock. I will work on trying to get them uploaded. I have a few pics of one heck of a nice refuge that a buddy made for me that holds 2.75 gal more and is full of cheato and acts as my only filtration. I also have an old berlin airlift 60 that i run occasoinally. The whole set up is very simple. It was all started very cheaply the original light was 2 18" no and 5 26 watt 6500k spiral pcs (the energy saving incandesent replacements) in a hood i built in my woodshop out of scrap wood. I just replaced that last week with my tax return with a 2x65 pc fixture.

Right now it's hard for the club officers to update the website. They are working on a way to resolve that, hopefully it will be updated more frequently soon.

Welcome!

I have one zoa colony that I can get of frag from. I also plan on going to the rockford show this weekend. My hope is to pick up several more zoa colonies.

I am intrested in your zoos. Pm me with a price, maybe we can get together tomorrow so you can have a little extra spending money for frag fest. I am not sure if i will be able to go, talking to my friends if they want to go or not. Thank you.
