Does anyone have frags of carnation or christmas tree? Hopefully someone close to the Huntsville area. Either red or orange in the carnation. I kinda like the blue tree though. TIA

Dendronephthya/carnation coral is notoriously difficult to keep. The Aquarium Shop has it periodically. It is non-photosynthetic and requires heavy feeding. The proper food for them is not really well known, either.

CRA used to get one of those Christmas tree corals. Christmas tree coral (not worms) is also non-photosynthetic and must be fed.

I wouldn't bother. IMO its one of those things they shouldn't even collect since no one can keep them alive long term.

i totally agree. even when you go through the trouble to feed them with "special methods" and keep the water quality up in spite of all the feeding. its just too much trouble.

AHH Crap, I always tell my wife if I hit the lottery, I'm gonna buy an Island. You can get one for about 25 million, then I'm going to dig a big hole and put a glass wall in. :D Talk about a natural reef tank. I would invite all of RC to have a meet at my place. Dang, I was worried about having kids after my pet experience, at least they can tell you when something is wrong.
