Looking into getting a Tunze wavebox

I am looking at getting the 6212 model for my 7ft 210 gallon tank. I am not looking for a monster wave, just a way to keep everything moving. I have a straight shot for it to work properly and this tank has had one on it before and worked great. My question is. Does it come with any sort of mounting brackets or do you need to just purchase the magnets right away? If so which magnets will you be required to get? Last but not least how is this box noise wise with your overflows and the box itself?

angler, the wavebox come with bracket mounting kit but if your tank has euro brace it will not work. if your tank has the rubber trim around the top it will require some modification. Your best bet is purchase the magnet for it. If your tank is 1/2" thick, you can use the 6080 magnet holder or 6200 magnet holder for 3/4" - 1". You don't have to get 2 set of magnet if cost concerning. You can use the magnet on the bottom of the box and use suction cup for the top. Each tunze wavebox come with 1 suction cup

As for noise level, when the box is brand new it will make a bit of noise but it will go away after a week or two. Some box will operate silence right out of the box. As for the overflow noise. If your overflow box is in the center, you don't need to worry about the noise. If your wavebox is off to the side, you will need to play with the durso to keep the water level in side your tank a bit higher.

Thanks alot for the info. I have had many tunze products and I look forward to having one of these. My tank has corner overflows. I will just have to play with it for a while to get it right I'm sure.

Just raise your durso pipe up a bit. Make sure the water level inside your overflow is the same height as the bottom of your overflow teeth...

Ok broke down and got one. I went ahead and ordered the magnets as well. The guy that owned the tank before my said when he had a wavebox on he got a 1-2 inch wave. He also said it took him a bit to get it dialed due to the length and overflows.

Ok a few questions. Number one the top magnet will not fit properly due to the trim. If I put the magnet on there as it is supposed to be the water level on the wavebox is too high. So in order to keep the water level on the wavebox at the proper height I had to angle the wavebox slightly. Will this cause it to not work properly? It is angled down, and I am getting a 1/2" to 1" wave. Next question I have 2 Tunze 6045 pumps and a 6025. The 6045's are circled in red and the 6025 in green. Is this good placement in conjuction with the wavebox or do you have better suggestions? The wavebox is blue blob.

Hello Angler, you can use the magnet holder on the bottom of the box and use suction cup on top. The suction cup come with your mounting bracket set.

I am enjoying this wavebox. I got it dialed in and I'm getting 1 1/2 " wave.
