Greg
I have a retrofit Hamilton set-up. It is 36'' long and consists of reflector, 2x250 SE sockets and 2x36 VHO 95w endcaps. It runs 3 separate ballasts on 3 independent switches that are built into a rather large metal heatsink. It would be screwed into a canopy and is plug and play. I have a few extra 250 mh bulbs and 95w VHO bulbs that would go with it. I would be asking $250 for it.
Let me know if it is waht you are looking for. It was used on a 55gallon and a 120gallon. Check the site below for a picture. It has VHO instead of PC's
Greg,
I used them on (2) 48" tanks. At the time the 4 ft retrofit wouldn't fit in my canopy. The 55 was 13x18x48 and the 120 is 24x24x48. The fixture provides 690 total watts of light. I did supplement the 120 tank with 4 more 110w vho actinics for a total of 1130 watts. I had plenty of light and I never noticed a problem with the outer edges of the tank. If you can pick up the retro fits with an electric ballast I think you could save a few bucks in electric
