I am looking to probably get the acjr. I've heard they can be had for about $100 but when I look online I am finding the price to be $149+. Can you tell me the best place to buy it (or a similar controller if there is one that's better)? I am looking to prevent heater malfunctions, control lights and eventually monitor ph.
Thanks,
Barbara

They may be talking about used controllers. There is one for sale on the board now for $70 that's lacking the DC8.

I second that. Get a used one. BUT, you're also going to need to drop another $75-100 on a DC4 or DC8. You can run X10 modules, which are cheaper, but I personally don't like them.

Have you looked at the Digital Aquatics ReefKeeper Lite? It sells for $99.00 plus shipping and includes the head unit and one four outlet power strip. It will do what you want right out of the box and is fully expandable by adding more power strips. You can buy them directly from Digital Aquatics. I've been using mine for a couple of years with no problems.

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks Ellie that was the info I was looking for!!! Hopefully Merry Christmas to me!!!
If anybody has any other info feel free to pass it on!

i just bought the basic reefkeeper lite about a week ago. That controller made life so easy every since i got it. i have it controlling my lights, powerheads and my heater. for $100 it controls everything i need and has the temp probe also. i think i might expand and get a SL2 module and a salinity probe in the future, ill put it on my xmas list:lol2:
