As the title says I'm looking to buy some starboard pieces for my tank. I would like black, and would need it to be cut into three pieces to fit into my 210 AGA. Any help would be great. I have seen others here on RC that have purchased from thecuttingboard.com Being that I have braces on top I will need the starboard to be cut, and I would like to have as perfect of an fit as possible. I was told that Shell Lumber (27 Ave.) might sell it, havent checked yet.

Why use starboard? I heard complains from some people here that it traps a ton of detritus.

I would highly recommend stands for your rock, so they don't sit on the glass or starboard surface and detritus is always moving and not settling under or around the rocks. I wish I did that when I went BB.

The only bare bottom "stand" I have seen that really worked well was acrylic rods that were glued into a starboard bottom. No matter what type of system you use there is alway some area that comes into contact with the bottom and can trap stuff even if it's just as simple as a dead spot of lower flow.

If you silicone in the starboard the silicone wont stick to the starboard but it will form a type of gasket and will not trap detritus.

I think you will hear complaints from a lot of people no matter which method they choose. Just try to choose the method you think will work best and go with that.

E&T Plastics in Fort Lauderdale should have it and they will cut to exact size you specify. (800) 234-4525
