The time is coming up to switch bulbs on my PC fixture and ive found some 12k bulbs. Was wondering if anyone has used these before and what you think of them? Its obvious they will be slightly bluer hued than 10ks however im wondering if anyone feels I should still use actinics with the 12s? Ive heard debate whether or not actinics are really needed for corals and not just for our eyes.
Let me know what youd think since I would love to have all 4 bulbs at full strength light and not 2 6700s and 2 actinics. I do like my 67s for the coral growth but I can leave fast growth to the frag tank. Plus they are a very yellow light and IMO a mistake to have been used on my display.
